HOW TO IMPORT MULTILINE TEXT INTO EASEL FROM INKSCAPE WHEN IT FAILS
HOW TO EXPORT A PNG FILE IN INKSCAPE

Here's aTutorial on Inkscape and exporting PNG files to lock in filters before tracing. The image on the screen isn't always the true image that gets traced. there's a weird anomaly that happens when you zoom in and out and chances are, what the image trace is seeing isn't what you want unless you lock in the filter changes by exporting the PNG file. then you import that and trace it.
