MY JTECH QUICK DISCONNECT MOUNT FOR THE X-CARVE
The Jtech driver gets mounted to the Designs By Phil Laser Mount as shown below. Remove the existing corner screws on the driver and use the included four sets of #6 hardware to mount the driver assembly to the standoffs. Mount the top standoff to the quick disconnect mount first using the 2 M4x14mm screws, M4 washers, and M4 locknuts. I've included a wire tie anchor for wire management.
Next, glue the left and right brackets on to the Designs By Phil Laser Mount. Use a semi slow curing glue or epoxy to ensure the brackets are fully seated before the glue starts to set. a 30 second superglue may be too quick. I test fit every mount that leaves my shop. They will fit loose when dry to give room for the epoxy/glue.

2. Wires Needed to go from controller and power supply to the carriage. (QTY. one of each)
Next, run the wires included in the Jtech X-Carve install kit along the drag chain as shown in the video below. You will also want to neatly wrap the laser and fan around the driver standoff.
First, here are the 2 items you need to purchase from Jtechphotonics.com
1. Laser/Driver Combo Kit
2.Use 2 clamps with rubber pads across the 2 spots shown. Make sure to center the pressure from front to back. You can apply a decent amount of pressure and you may hear an audible CLICK when tightening, but not always. Just make sure they are seated all the way. The brackets do NOT hit the side mount and one is farther away than the other. that is by design and is how it is centered on the Dewalt. The brackets only fit one way but to avoid glue going everywhere, note the positions in the picture below based of the indent in the center rib.
NOTE HOW THE WIRES ARE WRAPED AROUND THE STANDOFF. YOU CAN SHORTEN THE LASER CABLE, BUT LEAVING IT LONG DOES NOT AFFECT OPERATION.

Finally, focus the 2.8w laser so it's heat sink is exactly 3" above the material to be engraved (1.5" FOR THE 3.8w/4.2w laser). Make a 3" (1.5" for the 3.8w/4.2w) long spacer block to help you. You can usually be 0.02" or so off and it still be good.
1. Put enough glue in the pocket to cover the entire bottom. when you press it on to the mount, you want it to have enough to come up all the surfaces, but not necessarily overflow everywhere.
